Depends on circumstances and technology. If the blade is made sharp enough or is sheathed in energy, it can hand in a pinch in cut through surfaces, making and cables. Or as a energy conduit, melt through alloy in close quarters. Depends on design.

Testing different surfaces today - first test was on a pastel gesso. Actually loved the surface, but need to use a brighter colour. Detail might be a issue, but still experimenting.

i'll post the same beetle on a smooth paper in a minute, which has hit loads of problems
