I fill the whole shape with the darkest shade of the hair and go over it with a blending brush with lighter and lighter shades in broad strokes, finish with the highlight colour with thin hairs
and add stray hairs for detail

This is not bad. His right leg looks a bit awkward, but it doesn’t hinder the piece that much. I like the use of two different tones of grey, as well as the blending applied. This is my youngest brother’s favorite character.
