Haha this is Crox, again, but in color. I wanted to use some scale pattern brushes but she doesn't look great without additional rendering.

She's about 10 ft long, Communicator Class, and also dumb like Deeno. Telekinesis levitation/flight!

Do you have any insight into how the terrain was created in that engine? Hornet and A-10 had such distinctive terrain that is SO hard to emulate with modern workflows, processes, and rendering.

Stage 1 colour. I’m using a colourization technique I learned from Dave Mazierski and Andrew Swift, which is to use color transfer mode layers in Photoshop over the tonal rendering.

I take this bugger and then start just slapping over the holes and TA-DAA! No holes.

This saves me a lot of time and trouble in post, by not having to worry about the holes in models before rendering.
