SaGa Frontier Remastered is releasing in two days and it's an incredible RPG well worth checking out, if only for the brilliant art of legendary character designer Tomomi Kobayashi.

She is one of the most brilliant artist at Square & criminally overlooked in the west.

The map I've been working on for the last few weeks. 18 Jalrdoms in this Kingdom, to the south there is only the great ice wall, of which the only easy entrance is guarded by giants. Big blue Jarldom in the middle is mostly desert. Cliffs to the east, plains west.

It's an interesting question and BoF has a variety of skin tones to compare, but I don't know if I'd say CRTs are the reason. Likely just the way that we whitewash most media in the west. I think they used warmer tones knowing l the CRT would change Ryu to match the concept art.
