I'm counting Y as my "first" game bc that was the first one I played more than five minutes of. Love SwSh for the characters and UK aesthetic(also Wooloo and G Ponyta). Raichu is my BABY, and fave trainer was hard bc I love Serena but I also love Hop and draw him the most so ???

I very much prefer BDSP overworld sprite since it's literally a perfect representation of the original sprite.
They always looked like this, what did you expect if you didn't like the normal sized overworld models in SWSH.
The environments actually beautiful aswell.

quick comparison of the palgia statue in the remakes and my edit

i think GF handled the statue pretty well but my gripe is that since these remakes are sorta following the older style, we wont get a good look/perspective of the statue as we would’ve if the game was in swsh style

Say what you want about Gamefreak, its developers, etc, but you cannot deny that they've been steadily improving with their visuals. Every release since SwSh has seen some kind of visual improvement.
