There was something innately heroic about Andy Kubert's corner box art for his Cap run in the 90's.

The older I get, the more I love the X-Men from the 80's. I believe John Bryne did the original corner art, but I found one by for kicks and it's gorgeous.

They did. Back in 2002, they thought about giving Spidey the black leather treatment like the X-Men. A suit was drawn up by Alex Ross based on a design by David Williams, but they went w/ the classic suit instead.
