I’m the future, I highly recommend not copying exactly what you see. You can use it as reference but change it up for yourself. Make something more original, more you. Here are examples of how I refer pictures for my art:

It's more about knowing how to shape the world through your eyes vs copying what you see, which can end up looking soulless if you're not trying to achieve something extra. A good example would be Sarget's charcoal portraits. They are realistic but absolutly NOT beginner work

it's sooooo much cleaner and SO much more readable lol. i also dropped a lot of the xenogears copying i did in favor of using my own influence more, and stole a tiny bit from the bof4 perspective/proportions

I think a lot of people are overreacting to Metal Sonic losing to Surge and Kit:

-It was a 2 vs 1 fight
-They used water + electricity against a robot
-Base Metal Sonic has no copying abilities
-Surge and Kit barely won

My only real grip is that the fight was too short tbh

1st, line art. Amor's line art looks loose, heavy, it "pops off" if you know what I mean. Badre's done a good job copying him but it looks thin and stiff. Don't believe me? Look at badre's sketches and compare it to Amor's.

I mean I’m a huge HUGE fan of Godzilla. So like I couldn’t help myself but I actually like this and it’s by Cartoon Cat! He’s ass because of him not giving credit and copying the OG Sonic EXE story but his art is good, I’ll give him that.
