One of the greatest accomplishments of animated Dragon Ball was completely rewriting Gohan's Great Saiyaman story. I wager almost anyone who thinks Gohan and Videl are DB's greatest couple have only seen the adaptation. The manga does practically nothing to set them up.

One of my hopes for FFVII Remake is that the CG art of Vincent Valentine on the Shinra Manor rooftop will be adapted into an actual scene. Purple plot lightning would also not be too out there for Remake.
