1st drawing of 2020 :3 and I updated my logo!

During the process of making this I was pretty nervous cuz I'm technically rusty

I decided to try layanacmt's #drawthisinyourstyle challenge cuz the subject's pretty cute, and I didn't have the confidence to do my usual suff yet

Happy new year ~ it's the year of the rat so I decided to do a cat and mouse theme with my girls (Valaika and Yura).

For this year I hope to find more time to draw, improve anatomy, make reference sheets for my OCs, and gain the confidence to draw girls love/yuri. 👀

In anticipation for Interspecies Reviewers, I decided to do a little doodle to prepare for it! Loved reading the manga, so I can say with confidence that you can't screw up an ecchi!

Once again I fully develop the main characters, then build the rest around them afterward. The story has to come out. I want to get that mix of confidence and uncertainty. This is the comeback, and they’re worried for the $ recoup on a video, which is a new expense in the ‘80s.

2017: Again, senior year of college and first year of grad school took over all of my time. Design school gave me a new perspective on composition. However, this also caused a drop in my confidence in my art abilities. Managed to draw a bit over my summer break though!

These were honestly really hard to pick and as someone who used to lack all drawing confidence, it makes me happy that I had so many “good” drawings to choose from :)

2019...what a year. The first months weren't the best, but overall, I had a good year. I gained way much more self-confidence, and got closer to beautiful people.
I look forward to 2020. I can't wait for another year of travelling and sharing with others 💞
