This greyscale drawing was done after a reference photo of Anthony and Wilson at the Glaad awards. I loved this photo so much and it was such a great ref for a dynamic spaceboos pose.

This was another collection I started, but I didn't get very far 😅 - back in the days I got over-rolled with new ideas each day and my fingers couldn't keep up with my brain.
At least the Burnham one was finished.

And thus began the long waiting for season 2 and an hopefully good outcome for the best ST couple. Of course I didn't stop painting after the season finished, I went on and on and on ... 😁
First was a Valentine heart with the spaceboos.

And the last two of my season 1 comic style portrait series (the first time I ever actually finished a series for a show): both have such a journey ahead of them in the seasons to come.

And of course the spaceboos, the best of the best from Discovery 💖

Another two characters from season 1 whom I dearly appreciated. Great actors all around!

It's getting a bit boring, I know 😅- but there is still more in my comic portrait series from 2018. Here are two women who had short, but memorable entrances.

More from my comic style season 1 portrait series - the Klingons.
I wasn't fond when I heard the new series was about the Klingons (again), but they were kind of okay and especially L'Rell a really great character.

Other than most other series (exception being ENT), I liked all characters on Disco which made it easier to go for my first finished crew series for season 1. It is in basic comic style, but alas, I actually drew them all (usually I start and don't finish)

Inspired by a cover with those two wonderful men I created a sparkly spaceboo painting playing around with some effect brushes which I usually only bought but never used 😅

Back in the first season I had a great pal to talk to and write with. She was a fan of Lorca and Cornwell, so I painted this Cover mockup for her.

And then there came "Into the Forest I Go" - to date still my favourite episode. Everything was right with this episode, so many feelings, so emotional, so beautiful, and so horribly foreboding 😭. A masterpiece with one of the most beautiful smiles ever.

"Magic to make the sanest man go mad" was such a delightful episode. I loved to have Stamets front and center in this goofy standalone.
Here was my homage in comic style with limited palette colouring.

I'll be truly sad to see go. It relaunched Trek, brought a refreshing Abrams-style energy to Trek TV, along with a group of charismatic, committed actors. It held true to Roddenberry's vision of strength in diversity. And it flew us to the 32nd Century.
