This cut (left) from Future Boy Conan (79') lasts like 3 seconds and I can't imagine a modern anime even bothering to detail something like this, with her hands working it, expecially when the rest of the show looks like the right

@artoninternet I used to work and paint on wood. These days, I use a mix of hand drawn and collage techniques. For me, it's important to keep an instinctive style, quite brutal. I need to share my mistakes, my fears with a pen, even if it's digital. Still hoping for my first sell this year.

The technique here is a combination of traditional painting and 3D art. The old and the new. The background is painted similar to the original painting with many dots and textures. The foreground is 3D but with a twisted perspective. Flat, a way to combine the 2 techniques.

Finished! My second Christmas lineless art OC this year, I can say I actually improved a lot, took me less time and more organized layers as well as new techniques I came up with. And here on the right I leave the last years' (I feel so much cringe x'd)
