when i wanna bring tha fresh colors to my drawings, i'll usually start off with a rlly vague color theme. in this case it's baby blue for highlights and purple/pink for shades
then i pick colors that are as close as possible to those colors and go from there

@ruby__corp heres more how i woulda shaded it, going off of my own dog's side profile. even when doing cartoon furries like this it helps immensely to reference the facial structure of real dogs because then you have a better idea of where to put down the shading and highlights when painting
