The Growth of a Unicorn.
Unicorns are born with dappled fur that can vary from shades of brown, bronze, silver, or grey. Their fur will fade to white as they grow older. The horn of a unicorn will not begin its growth until the age of 12 to 14 months.

As MLP ends, Celestia retires, and in doing so, gives up her alicorn-hood, loses the wings, and become a normal unicorn. Without alicorn magic, she slowly shrinks back to normal pony length and gets chubby because she’s old and retired

I hope this is how the show ends.
