the new art direction the winx team took as from s5 was such a major downgrade. you can clear see the difference in face structure and hair texture. the characters started looking like stiff puppets after s4, their heads where bigger and the overall art got too cartoony

Flatish color, might have gotten a smidge carried away with some texture. However 5 O'clock is turning out quite nicely. Though his skin patterning took me forever to figure out. Not sure if I'm going to add any shading.

most likely not (at least not for now), everything in one texture. 1 - I could make new hair mesh/new unwrap for it, then I have to repaint new hairstyle again. 2 - delete back part, add new tris/place new uvs somehow around, reusing front part and painting new back parts

Yesterday I designed an objectsona for for no particular reason other than nostalgia for his videos. He's a cake, loosely based on the Minecraft cake texture.
I think I'll make it some kind of daily challenge to design objectsonas for random popular people.

Didn't do as much. Played with a few pieces of texture. Will be redoing fur that's for sure! I wanted to test a brush and certainly will be redrawing using the other method LOL

1 is an official TTYD render.
Everything else are edits I did.

2 and 3 keep the gradients, but use the current color scheme, and texture.
4, 5, and 6 get rid of the Gradient to match TOK's style.
