While the face shares some degree of similarity I think he made this himself as far as I know. I could be wrong, but the proportions and the nose isn't the same as the chibi template I use. I tend to use smaller proportions for the body.

Thinking about Walt Simonson it made me think of such a underappreciated comic from 20 years ago, ORION. It flew under the radar then and does now. DC released a omnibus collecting all 25 issues, and it is such a satisfying read. It's a space opera of epic proportions.
