@Minkyew Typically i stick with a single Light source and gradually add detail and darker colors to distinguish dept and tone. (this is a really rushed example, I was caught with my pants down 😅)

@mikayuue I generally prefer Japanese cartoons that are more focused on toony chibish sillier designs as apose to the typical human focused shows, I'm also not a fan of how they usually draw human female characters nowadays most of the time.
