People often ask me what the patterns signify - is it the earth or roots? The answer? All and none! I just love pulling colours and patterns together that symbolise nature, but by tapering the patterns and drawing the trees, it's more self-consciously a field with ploughed lines.

so the snake temple level is gonna have an outside section that is based more on the pacific northwest, with things like mountaintops, pine trees, and maybe totem poles

also the actual temple itself is based on king dedede's castle
