Hornet from Hollow Knight, proportioned for mobile wallpaper!

Finished up some design tweaks for Aquila today, though I got indecisive with colour placement so it took a bit longer lol. Other than a few proportion changes her design is basically the same, though I gave her a more “lineup friendly” pose compared to the other one.

This is a Tooru redraw;;; it's not the best (proportions are off :( hdjsjdj) but I'm trying to take baby steps and be happy at even the tiniest of improvements!!

Overlapping forms. Avoid straight lines, only curves.
Use boxes and simple shapes for proportions -> gradually start figuring out "is this over or under?" -> add bulge -> ??? -> profit

Been doing a lot of picrews lately. Anybody got any that allows for like... fat people? All the ones I see are for skinny twig people (except for the horse one, that actually had some good body proportion options)

@tonytam1 @MHoozaru @CamZilla94 @rtheinart in all fairness, while I did get the reference of being a ground sloth back then, it still doesn't look quite like one atleast for me. It still shows more gorilla influence on the body proportion and shape.

Kinda busy with schoolwork recently, but I did a quick drawing of the Roar-Riolu setup because I recently found about it and all its degeneracy. Also, I think I stick too closely to Loomis proportions, so I tried to draw a few weird Loomis setups.

@Auguste__B @HeavensAkumu @Vann_AQ While i somewhat agree, keep in mind this is an aqw template we're talking about, it was never anatomically accurate. And there's not much that can be done about it due to the fact it doesn't even have the right proportions.

It's fun to go back and see my progress on a drawing. My roughs haven't gotten any cleaner, probably better that way.
You don't really have to rough out much more than the anatomy and proportions. If you work on it too much, you'll just regret having to draw over it later.
