Ignoring the MANY crashes, this was a very odd sequel. Most of the game felt entirely separate from the climax, and a few routes were lame af. The humor was also the worst of the franchise. But at its peaks, it was exciting, emotional, and had great character moments!

The girls and I took a break on the "older flicks" to watch The Babysitter for the first time. Pretty fun movie with humor and exaggerated gore scenes. I'm sure we'll eventually make it around to the sequel.

Some dismiss the more 'lighthearted and carefree' moments of 'Higurashi: When They Cry' as 'juvenile.' Although such people are 'humorless fucks,' they are not wholly wrong. To them, I suggest the successor series 'Umineko: When They Cry,' a rather more 'mature and serious' work.
