I ended up solving that problem but now i have another, even worse, one. Need to figure out a good way to do get the 2-to-3 wide plate conversion on the right (just a visual demo, it's not attached). left w/ clips is the best idea i have so far :\

So unfortunately it seems like this project has kinda died, but in 2012 there was an arcade lil retro shooter running on dark places in the works called retro blazer.

It had a short but fun lil demo, not super unique by the more recent standards, but definitely worth a look.
