"Going back to Adventure style would just be nostalgia pandering"
It would be if SEGA wanted it to be. But it doesn't HAVE to be. Sonic Adventure 2 wasn't a rehash of SA1 for instance. It was it's own game with it's own identity despite sharing a similar game design formula.

Decap Attack (1991, Sega) - Genesis/Mega Drive

Sharp Pixels vs. Genesis Composite via Sony PVM-20L2MD

Here's an Composite example for comparison! While I think the clouds and Chuck's outline smooth out beautifully, you definitely lose detail in the teeth and vines.

I’M A MARKETABLE FURRY CHARACTER OWNED BY SEGA!!

💎Mobian Rui Event💎
• is literally the same, definitely shorter-
A lot shorter.
• literally a bear
• nothing bad could ever come from sonic and Pokemon merging… oh wait-

Decap Attack (1991, Sega) - Genesis/Mega Drive

Sharp Pixels vs. Genesis RGB via Sony PVM-20L2MD

This one's for all you little crispy pixel sickos. It's kind of wild how many small details are drawn into Decap's sprites that get lost in composite

Drew Sonic again but with a art style twist! My friend AussieGB showed me a new art style and i tried it my self. Im really proud of it! Not bad for my first try but not perfect.

A special birthday gift I made for myself: another Mario and Sonic artwork. Another friendly reminder that these two are good friends. Again, I don't make the rules.
