I will be saying this a LOT, but... Wow. The almost seamless way the parts connect is much better than the previous method is much better as it probably helped that I did it ON PAPER first before repeating it again in a digital format. The hardest part now?

mine is an old project so something may be different now, uhh... I don't recall ever needing to swap axes or anything though... the reason I have the UV map travel along the Y axis is that the glow texture is a continuous repeating texture to account for animation
