Each page has a border! The border marks the state of Xaviul, specifically, throughout: when he's possessed, the border's more akin to the geometric runes present throughout the game, and the state of "eyes open / eyes shut" is also depicted on the borders.

Notice anything different? If the inconsistent title border width bothered anyone else, we currently fixed and will keep using our current solution! Comic panels still have uneven borders but we will slowly be fixing those as we have to manually fix a total of 48 panels.
