I felt like using darker values and lower saturation than usual but the AU I had in mind was quite light hearted- just two childhood friends who do normal gal pal things like amber sucking eula's blood, nothing sapphic about it

CORRECT-! Yes I agree wholeheartedly!! It's not about the tool you use, it's about how you use it, and I personally found ibis paint much more intuitive than the other apps I tried when first getting into digital art :D
