Alright art twitter help me out. 1st time using copics & I feel like I'm laying down tones & not blending properly. What are your tips/tricks/magic spells? people pls help too. I'm more proud of the freehand no ref sketch than the colors

NGL I go over my sketches at least once or twice so they actually look presentable (plus I don't like freehanding linework, so I get the sketch as neat as I can to start lining)

We must appreciate the potato phase of sketches 🙏

First time messing around with a tattoo machine. I looked at a picture but this was a freehand. I know fake skin is a lot different than real skin and that I’ve got some wobbly lines in there. I’ve got a lot to learn, but I thought this was a fun experience.
