All the surface detail like the scales, bumps in the headphones etc is all physically modeled. Ussualy I'd do detail like that in substance but I am learning Zbrush.
Because of this the mesh is 30,000,000 polygons lmao retopologizing this week. Hoping to bring it down to 75k

Retopo/Retopology = Redoing all those pesky lines so the high poly mesh doesn't make your computer light on fire.

This model in particular isn't really anything to look at when it comes to topology since I generally suck at it. I actually modeled this particular character vertex by vertex rather than starting with a shape of any sorts just to see how well it would go.

true, its often why i dont do commission work cause i know making an outfit like the red sonja one i did would have cost a client over $2,000 to produce, that including: sculpt, retopology, uv mapping and game prep, texturing and so on.

This is retopology heck! My usual workflow is just too slow with these complex shapes, and procedural tools don't get good results. I think I'll take the plunge with RetopoFlow and see how that goes.
