the point (I think) was that most people tend to confine faces to a construction circle. Sketches will improve (imo) when u learn that facial features will often extend far beyond the construction (example in blue)

HIIII ok so this is a super old trick i learned from watching speedpaints and i still use it every time!! start by making 2 circles and an oval like the first pic, and then connect em like this!!! bringing the bottom two shapes closer makes it easier too sometimes
