I use colored pencils, and making everything smooth is very tough! For one thing, the tooth (roughness) of the paper can give you lots of white spots. My best advice is:

- Use smaller strokes/circles in at least three directions.
- Color over it thoroughly with lighter tones.

Jotia's Embrace is the Jotian equivalent of the Edarists' Pillar symbol, and can be quickly scrawled on buildings with a few strokes. Don't get caught doing it, though.

i draw strictly with permanent pen/ink/etc in my sketchbooks and I think everyone should try it! it’s a great way to get faster and more confident with your strokes, and creates such a raw, stream of conscious sketch! here’s a bunch of mine >:~)
