The 17th-century warship "Vasa" was designed to symbolise the Swedish Empire's expanding power until it sank after only 20 minutes on the water.

The epic warship languished at the bottom of Stockholm Harbor for 300 years until archaeologists unearthed it in 1961.

In the cave of Chan do Lindeiro (#Galicia) the remains of a woman (baptized as "Elba" by archaeologists) were found along with those of three aurochs (ancestors of today's cows). The remains are more than 9000 years old.
