I saw a video about how studying something simple will teach you more about colors and values than anything else so I chose an egg and used to paint (mostly because I miss oil. I’m in love with it, but was too lazy to set up and clean up afterward lol).

the one game that did retro right was micro mages,they calculated the amount of space needed for it to fit on a cartrage and did some techniques to save up space.The character sprites have less details in sacrifice for more fluid frames on them

Some progress steps in

Pencil -> Dry Pastel -> Custom Brush & a bit of Oil Brush for thicker paint -> glazing that I love for adding shadows -> Rain effect -> Done.
