I'd choose a hybrid sort of style between cartoons and anime --with the sensibilities of both Studio Trigger and Bob Clampett stuff.

I just realized that Jim Carrey has a Bob Clampett, Daffy Duck cel in the background.

izzy ellis isn't as funny as davis but i like how he draws daffy as an absent-minded goon as he did in the early clampett years

Bob Clampett's work has to be one of my favorites if not the one out of all the Looney Tunes animators

And some trivia bein that Clampett's "Coal Black and de Sebben Dwarfs" is one of John K.'s favorite shorts

A CORNY CONCERTO is definitely a classic, a delightful parody of FANTASIA. once more one of the rare (and last) times where porky and bugs are on screen together. hilarious animation by rod scribner (i love how ugly porky is, yes to those wrinkles.) bob clampett voices the dog.

meanwhile, clampett was experimenting more with daffy, and porky was getting sidelined into more arbitrary roles, such as the judge in THE HENPECKED DUCK. a highly entertaining cartoon that has some pretty moody shots. daffy is much more subdued in comparison to previous shorts

one of bob clampett’s many retakes. PATIENT PORKY is a much more inferior remake of THE DAFFY DOC, with dr. chilled-air (kildare) in place of daffy. hearing mel do his marvin voice is pretty amusing, though.

storyboards for clampett’s PORKY’S PARTY (1938) show gabby and petunia starring alongside porky instead of the penguin and goose. clampett would adopt petunia from frank tashlin, redesigning her to be cute instead of sexy. interesting to see his take on tashlin’s petunia.

Honestly, I thought it would form into Lampet from Pokemon

seems clampett was particularly misleading

clampett’s 1940-1941 porky amuses bc he looks like he’s being pulled sideways by a taffy puller. you know how chuck jones’ later art looks squashed and melty like there’s a hydraulic press squishing down their heads? this is like that but pulling instead. taffy puller porky

Been watching Bob Clampett Looney Tunes. Forgot how crazy that duck is! Had to draw an old school Daffy

clampett’s porky looked so odd in 1940

1938 Porky in Wackyland (Directed by B. Clampett) is a GREAT cartoon. But I notice that it has some inspiration from de Studio Fleischer Cartoons, and obviously it isn't that great as those cartoons.

There are so many great frames in less than a second in this shot. I love the particularly wacky screams in this one.
