The lives of the mice of the Mouseguard are not easy. The weight of their civilization rests on their shoulders. They must maintain their courage and strength throughout all the seasons, only to make it to next Spring.

"It's what we fight for"

It's funny how Mouseguard rules could basically apply to any setting or RPG idea. But there's something about being mice that charms me. It's not the same.

So i streamed for the first time in forever.
I played a roleplaying game recently called and it was sooooo funnn. So i drew my little mouse from it as a lil drawing practice. I wanted to draw it a few ways but only got 1 finished. :D

Even if all the characters in a Mouseguard game are mice, the differences between them can be massive. Character creation is not only very well-balanced. It is also a satisfying experience that helps connect with it.

If you ever play Mouseguard, choose to be the Tenderpaw of the group. You'll have a teammate be your guide and protector. Plus, the feeling of joy that invades you when you earn your cloak is just amazing!

In this beautiful RPG, to become better at a skill, you must succeed a certain number or rolls, but you also have to fail others.

The key factor here is how, like in life, mistakes make you better.

In Mouseguard,
It doesn't matter if you fail a check, the story ALWAYS continues. There are dire consequences for failed important rolls, but the story never suffers.

It is no surprise that I love Mouseguard.

Take a minute to read this small article on this blog. It was written on December 15th, 2013 by Oren Ashkenazi. And it still stands up today.

Me: I use my trait against me, and refuse any help.

GM: You're injured, no help, and you take away one die from the trait. You need 6 successes out of 4 dice thrown. You won't win.

Me: (Filled with determination) I never intended to pass.

One of the things I like the most about Mouseguard is its art. I believe David Petersen is incredibly talented and I love how consistent his art is.

Because the Mouseguard it's not about being a hero. It's not about being more powerful than others. It's about bringing peace to the Territories. It's about allowing other mice to live decent lives.
