Core to Aeres are themes of therianthropy, a staple throughout mythology. Humans transformed into animalistic forms, either from a divine curse, or willfully through magic. Metaphor is the intent. Today, pop culture co-opts these myths, proving their universality. #therianthrope

It's something I touch on in 20 Myths, but worth reiterating: Abortion opinion is incredibly stable over time.
This is 2014-2021 - allow abortion as a choice.
There's been almost no movement either way. Some year to year variations, but no clear trends up or down.

Sazae oni (turban snail demon) haunt the waters of Japan, luring sailors & killing them. In some myths, they used to be turban snails or lustful women who had been thrown into the sea. Either way, they have much in common with mermaids & fae the world over
