This is Xocoyol, mother of ten and Drakkari mystic/seer. The attack of her people upon the Northern Loa made her kind of loopy. She's a Gundrak lady raised near Mam'toth's arena. Her dad was a priest and her mom made ceremonial garbs alongside him.

Oh! Woo! This one is Baski: former guardian to Mam'toth and currently hunting down every blasphmerer and heretic she can to offer them all to the loa of the north from her amulet of Mam'toth, which takes the slain heretic's souls.

Drew a Tara from the Herculoids door a sketch group over at https://t.co/V7UR0KPm8T. Tried to channel my inner Toth/Kirby (with a bit of Steve Rude).

Thinkin' bout Alex Toth

From DADDY AND THE PIE. I love how Toth indicates the pine trees in the distant background with those little marker smudges. Also how he blacked-in the Pie's jacket after detailing the various folds.

Can you imagine the way Toth would gently hold Skout's hand?

Toth

Design's primarily inspired by Mole Crabs, Hermit Crabs and Knifehead from Pacific Rim for the markings.

I'm guessing Knight's neanderthals had lots to do with it. That and the fact that non-comedy Hanna-Barbera definitely had a house style which was very Alex Toth.

Your character study reminds me of Alex Toth’s from long ago. Kudos to your style, Patch. Honestly, we need more art like this in animation. I’m not necessarily speaking to the sultry, less-clad stuff so “others” please don’t go there. I’m speaking of honoring the past.
