Lady Katherine and Lady Mary Grey, sisters of Lady Jane Grey, both suffered for being born too close to the Crown. Elizabeth denied them happiness with the men they loved. Katherine gave birth twice in the Tower and Mary spent some years under house arrest.

Beautiful painting by Charles Carter mole (1834-1900) for sale on eBay. Depiction of a scene from the court of Edward VI. Edward Seymour is also seen and Catherine Parr kneeling beside the young king. Just a shame I don't have twenty thousand to buy it. 😃
