Aquatic - our British native, pillwort, Pilularia globulifera, grows on the margins of ponds, lakes and reservoirs. This specimen was found in Malltraeth Marsh on Anglesey in North Wales. This fern species is dispersed by cattle and wildfowl on this RSPB reserve.
