Three Superman covers from Bolland in the 80's that shifted my idea of what comic art could be like. As much as I loved Curt Swan, this was completely new (I saw the Superman v Muhammed Ali book the same year or so and that was a complete game changer for me.)

Brett Blevins Batman! I loved Blevins on New Mutants, but this Batman work is awesome too. From issue 50 of LotDK. Cover by Bolland.

ANSWER 4: ALL OF THE ABOVE

Correct! Bolland drew the cover of ROBIN V1 while Bisley and Power both did fully painted artwork of Lady Shiva for trading cards in the 90s. Zarjaz!

...they are, this brilliant riff on Brian Bolland's depiction of the Joker from the great , this laugh-out-loud Obvious Gag (there are no gags finer) from , this near pagan portrayal of Priti as elemental monster previous winner

I liked the Messner-Loebs run from the '90s. It had Deodato interiors, Bolland covers.

Eric Luke had a short-lived run that was quite good.

I haven't tried the book the last couple of years, but I've heard it's been fun (couldn't get into the New 52 or following runs).

Man I wish Bolland had done more comic interiors. Not enough of this stuff. Though I guess that just makes it more special.

Man I fuckin love Bolland but I really don’t like that he “homaged” his killing joke cover for this. Though honestly I wouldn’t give it my all for this book either. But who knows maybe this will end up being Kings Magnum Opus.

Guillem March was born to draw the Joker. Just the most cartoonishly over-the-top distorted version of that post-Bolland gritty "realism" Finch/Frank/Fabok DC house-style art.

As before, I'm sorely tempted to just say "got Brian Bolland to draw Shiva kicking the shit out of Tim" and leave it at that, but dammit, we're trying to be positive! And since Dixon has the second most Shiva appearances written under his belt, there has to be *something!*
