I just expanded this "project borscht" scene. The original half of it consumed all 256 background tiles so I was slightly worried it wouldn't scale well, but it seems to work. The left half is all recycled from the same 8x8 tiles.

As always, authentically for the NES. This game is codenamed "Borscht", because I haven't found a good name in 5 years of spare time working on it.

"Borscht" is the codename for a personal pet project - a gothic romance inspired by superstition, folklore, e.a.poe & a few historic accounts of nefarious noblemen & women. I wrote its first two themes when i was a teen, began real work on it 4 yrs ago, and it'll take me 4 more.
