And here's the very final style test! I switched to thinner and grittier lines with hatching due to the fact that I didn't feel as though thick lines would adequately express what I wanted for this comic, especially motion and expression-wise. Time for test pages and outline!

Hayao Miyazaki's watercolors for Rowlf, based on a comic by Richard Corben, about a princess who's kidnapped by demons. Miyazaki had wanted to adapt it into a film in 1980. Corben, who's comic was grittier, didn't like the softer style & more childlike concept Miyazaki proposed.

The third artist, , was advertising "charcoal-style comms" on twitter, and I immediately knew I needed one. Skolly used this art style to bring out the grittier, more rogue-like aspects of the character, as well as the racial aspects of Draconians (venom in particular).
