That's not to say Loeb isn't guilty as well. He's the one who wrote the dialogue and had "Batgirl" teaming up the newly reintroduced Supergirl in Batman/Superman, who so wasn't Cass.
And finally, to end my Ed McGuinness appreciation thread, I’ll throw some pages from Avengers: X-Sanction (another Loeb/McGuniess joint effort) that features two of my favorite characters, and two characters I think he does some of his best with
@Burn0321: once again... more Cap
And finally... here’s some of the final Rulk/Hulk main event. Trust me, go back and do a quick re-read of the Loeb era of Hulk. It’s SO MUCH FUN, and the art from some of the best living artists is a big reason why this big, dumb, stupid, bombastic comic works (17/)
Speaking of crazy... McGuinness and Loeb would team again on the infamous original Red Hulk run of Hulk. The series reads much, much better with the benefit of time and hindsight. It was absolutely bananas, and such a fun read these days. Rulk fought pretty much everyone (13/)
A few years later McGuinness would rejoin the title for Loeb’s last S/B arc. That was a doozy. I won’t attempt to even explain it... other than there was an Ultimates pastiche (Maximums), a lot of gender swapped characters. Oh and then Bat-Mite Mr. Mxy, Darkseid, and Joker(10/)
This great moment where Dick throws a punch at the President in the Oval Office! I don’t think there’s a character from either Marvel or DC that Ed doesn’t draw great. To make that point even more, below I also threw in a random page from his and Loeb’s Nova run years later (8/)
Ed’s work on Superman’s supporting cast, especially Lois, was very strong. I’ve always liked the way he draws her. That same run also featured quite a bit of Batman and Joker, and those being good probably helped with why he was later chosen to join Loeb with...
McGuinness REALLY got going with his work on the Jeph Loeb penned Superman run. When Cam Smith joined him on the series as one of the inkers I felt McGuinness’ art really started to come together, and hasn’t changed a whole lot since then
Daredevil: Yellow by Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale - it's enjoyable but it was all just kind of melodramatic. Love Sale's art and Loeb's writing is fun, but I like Spiderman: Blue a lot better.

Supergirl #3 v4 has what looks like a pretty cool callback to John Byrne’s Superman #1. You decide. Either way, it’s a wonderful panel.

@PatrickZircher I was always into superheroes, mostly from other media, had read a few random issues here and there.
Daredevil: Yellow by Loeb and Sale was the first proper full story I read about superheroes, and it instantly made me wanna collect as much as I could her my hands on.
