Quino was most famous for Mafalda of course- Peanuts, but more political, and imagine Charles Schultz as also a prolific political cartoonist-

I don't usually get political, but there's really only one option this year.

"Geograpahical Portfolio – Comprising Physical, Political, Geological, and Astronomical Geography" by Levi Walter Yaggy. Published in 1887, the book features large educational geographical charts.

"Our species has faced the frightening, terrorizing fact that we do not know who we are, or where we are going in this ocean of chaos. It has been the authorities, the political, the religious, the educational authorities who attempted to comfort us by giving us order."

I hate to get political, however, this key art from Sonic Jam makes me cream!

In fact, I have been thinking for a while that I want to do a "Sonic Jam" inspired project!

So, should I turn ProjectVG into a Sonic Jam Project?

Wear masks people! It's not political, it's not the government trying to shut you up or whatever other arguments I've heard. It's not about you at all wear masks for other people you selfish f***$!!

To those who do wear masks, I love you 💕

I'd say of the 5 generally considered purposes of art; ceremonial, expressive, narrative, functional, and persuasive... Political art really only falls into 'persuasive.' If all art was political, 'persuasive' would not be a category, because it'd be a given. Are these political?

Twitter always says "where are her organs, all art is political, this is a power fantasy".

I just wanna draw for God's sake.

Honoré Daumier (1808-1879) French artist, printmaker and social satirist managed to walk the fine line between fine art, editorial art, and political, social satire. Yet his figure work is always so moving

❝Precisely. My summons to Enbarr was entirely political, and a stark reminder of what yet awaits me.

However, if you spend your days worrying for the sort of person you must become, you'll fail to foster the strength required in the now.

That's how I feel, at least.❞

I’m am not political, religious, racialist, etc., but I am loyal and I’m sick and tired of outsiders judging my home so you know what world? “Let thee who is without sin cast the first stone...”. That all, I’m done. 🙅‍♀️

Hey, my name is Obi Arisukwu. I usually create my art for the culture. And my comic strips, though most of them aren’t political, I make to help add more representation in the world of cartoons.

Hey how are talking about anti-racism, racial violence when the June 2020 issue has this cover and includes that comic strip? We need to put images and narratives into social, political, historical, geographical and colonial context.
