Gokko's English fantranslations just got finished. short dad-raising-daughter(ish) series; the first chapter has one of the best page turns I've ever seen - I almost didn't want to post it but it's one hell of a selling point. The rest of the manga is good too, give it a shot!

Wasn't particularly impressed by VE as a series; lacks the subtlety and is too heavy-handed in trying to tell me how I should feel, but the Eternity and Memory Doll movie has some impressive CinemaScope layout and composition, I prefer it over the actual The Movie movie.
