Here is the finished I submitted a version without text to the contest, but I kind of like it with words. After a month of inking, it feels good to finish a painting in color.

26: stretch. The key was hard to carry since Billy was still so small, but he had to save the others. Stuart stretched his hand through the cage toward the key. He could hear footsteps coming down the hall. He knew they didn’t have much time.

24: chop. Kelvin squirmed as he hung upside down from the rope around his ankle. “I was just trying to get home!” he yelled. “Too bad!” said Norris, as he sprinkled shrinking powder from the jar. “You’re lucky I don’t chop you up to make candy bait!”

22: expensive. Veroosa planned to buy a nice necklace. After all, expensive tastes went w/fame. As she tried on one w/porcupine quills, one of the sharp quills scraped her finger. Within seconds, she fell to the ground, her cameras capturing it all.
