The first (and most likely) option is that this Symbiote is a piece of the Carnage/Grendel Symbiote that Dylan attacked in Absolute Carnage 5.

The Symbiote in the box itself is Red and Dylan had a direct on page encounter with it so it’s very likely that this is the Symbiote.
