“But Ulmo was alone, and he abode not in Valinor, nor ever came thither unless there were need for a great council; he dwelt from the beginning of Arda in the Outer Ocean, and still he dwells there.” — The Silmarillion

“In seven hours the glory of each tree waxed to full and waned again to naught; and each awoke once more to life an hour before the other ceased to shine. Thus in Valinor twice every day there came a gentle hour of softer light.” — The Silmarillion

“Námo the elder dwells in Mandos, which is westward in Valinor. He is the keeper of the Houses of the Dead, and the summoner of the spirits of the slain. He forgets nothing; and he knows all things that shall be.” — The Silmarillion

It is said that Silmarils are the most sacred objects ever. They carried the light of Valinor trees. If they were not in the wrong hands, they would distribute beauty and wisdom to their location. The high powers of these objects also served to destroy dark beings.

“Ulmo is the Lord of Waters. He is alone. He dwells nowhere long, but moves as he will in all the deep waters about the Earth or under the Earth. He is next in might to Manwë, and before Valinor was made he was closest to him in friendship.” — The Silmarillion

“Manwë and Varda are seldom parted, and they remain in Valinor. Their halls are above the everlasting snow, upon Oiolossë, the uttermost tower of Taniquetil, tallest of all the mountains upon Earth.” — The Silmarillion

“And the Vanyar returned beneath their white banners, and were borne in triumph to Valinor; but their joy in victory was diminished, for they returned without the Silmarils from Morgoth’s crown.” — The Silmarillion

I was commissioned by the super patient VivyanaIllustrations - this time the picture was more than a challenge: Aurelia's and Valinor's wedding kiss.
I am super thankful for the patience shown to me while I worked on this picture.

Her lover Amroth waited for her in “havens grey” but a storm set the ship loose + on its way to Valinor. Of Nimrodel we only hear that she was never seen before, though there is a stream that bears her name.
