Hat shape feels a bit odd, kinda like it was pasted on later the fact

I use multiple colors when shading so it doesn’t look boring
I use fade pen for the bigger parts and dip pen for some strands

@chaiyerii Here in this drawing I did for testing traditional shading you can see for example that I put dark on hair that started under other strands of hair and light in the middle. That’s because when shading in general, the lightest dark will always be darker than the darker light!
@Anuxinamoon it starts out correct, I think, but then you've got 2 strands running to the middle (marked red). for 4 strand braids you always need to keep track of the overs and unders. if a strand went over in the last crossing in the next crossing it goes under. hope this helps
