Maybe the whole cast in the background, together with child Eren holding out a hand for adult Eren in the foreground (or the other way round). Just some ideas.

Haha, love tubba blubba! Mostly I just pushed the tortuga into the bg some more, but have a bit of sparkle to his eye and some drool. Also darkening the foreground helps with depth! And as a tip for shadows, the darkest part is usually along the middle, when lit above and below.

From the original sketch I broke this panel down into background and foreground layers to construct the scene. I still have to add the lettering layer for the word balloons, but this is pretty much the process I use these days. The characters were drawn separately as png files

Iterated a bit and experimented with trees in the mid-/foreground and stuff, but it made it look worse, so i left them out :3
In terms of painting grass, this was a huge step forward for me x3
