Unsure if there’s a piece of canon I missed that would confirm this but my head canon is that the “protection and defense” lightsaber parts from Savi’s are High Republic inspired. They would’ve known about the HR when Galaxy’s Edge was being formed and I mean look at the VIBES.

Thank you Visual Dictionary! (The power cells are kept in the hilt of the lightsaber).

The rematch between the two later in the issue is also a standout battle, with Luke wielding a second lightsaber to duel his opponent, done specifically to match the dual nature of her weapon.

found a part of a Aggretsuko comic and why the fuck are they, Gori and Washimi, playing lightsabers?

Meet Nitro - cunning daddy with a stache and eyes like glacier ice. He uses dual, nitrogen fueled anti-plasma blades (think, a cold lightsaber?) He’s sharp, intuitive, and loves puppies. 🐶

⚡️Vernestra Rwoh is the second
character for this piece. She's from the High Republic
era. In her, Into the Dark book, her unique lightsaber
and overall calmness really caught my eye.

Isn't there a certain wolf themed digimon that uses lightsabers you could of used instead?

it's Star Wars day apparently so I'll take this opportunity to inform everyone that Bayonetta and Jeanne both have lightsabers
