I really enjoy doing these small environment slices in-between bigger illustrations. I can practice mood and try to create a nice atmosphere, and research a certain place to learn about it further. This was inspired by the cosy little alleys of Japan.

The Viper Series of Starfighter in maneuvered much like a fighter jet. Vipers can move like that on a planet with atmosphere, but should not have been able to do so in Outer Space. I know, I know...I'm angry too.
