OOOLD ART. I used to draw in Adobe Illustrator a long long time ago 2012-2013 at least? I blend shapes using gradients. It was lots of fun. The newer Subscription model didn't match my hobby work flow so I stopped, but I still use the one at work.

@bluefley Thank you for the phenominal tutorial! That gradient map trick combined with the ao/curvature map is something that improved my workflow in texturing majorly. Here is the concept art for the alien btw. From the card game Keyforge. Working on a Wood Elf Spirit Keeper currently.
